Students in the department will surely enjoy all the activities set for the “CAS WEEK”. This will be a must-see event not only for the students but also for the whole Sebastinian Community.
CAS is the oldest institution in the college. Referring to the 2009 NEWS CAS editorial “Remembering CAS” written by former Political Science Area Chair, Atty. Romualdo Francisco, its existence stemmed from the offering of Associate in Arts, which was a pre-law course, in 1947. The editorial further noted, “It was only in 1962 that the government recognition for a four-year course, Bachelor of Arts, was given to the said college. It was therefore in 1958 that the college commenced the offering of a four-year course.”
CAS now offers bachelor degree programs in Mass Communication, Political Science, Legal Management and Psychology.
Since 1996, the department has been observing its yearly weeklong celebration. Counting from there, CAS WEEK is now on its 15th year.
